Smyrna is located about 10 miles northwest of Atlanta, Georgia and is considered an integral part of the Metro Atlanta area. Known as the “Jonquil City,” it derives this name from the thousands of jonquils that flourish in gardens and along the streets in early spring.

Smyrna Historical Society – in 2018, members of the community of Smyrna, Georgia joined together to support the city’s museum. The recently founded board is excited to support the town and the individuals living in the area by preserving Smyrna’s history and engaging the community. 

Smyrna Public Library – the only city operated library in the state of Georgia and has provided service to the residents of  Smyrna for 70 years.

Smyrna Market Village – pedestrian oriented with an emphasis on streetscapes, landscaping and openness, the Market Village features 16 townhomes over 40,000 square feet of retail space, 18,000 square feet of office space and seven restaurants.
